Rules of Thumb Modding Engine and Transmission speeds and gear ratios produces Network Lag, sometimes little sometimes a lot! Modding Aircraft Engines is very bad, you will end up with an aircraft acting like its network info is missing or setup wrong meaning it will rubberband and jerk and twitch like your on 56K dialup! | Ground Based Vehicles have the same issue but less noticable because 1 there moving on a single axis(usually) and also there moving a fraction of the speed of aircraft, and also because the aircraft usually have multiple engines which is like a lag multiplier at times! Speeding up Ground Vehicles is safe and works well provided your not worried about a hickup here or there. | | Modding Weapons is pretty much stable except in the case of thrown items such as grenades, C4, smokers, etc and even then its fine as long as your not adjusting the velocity at which they are thrown! but if you are you may see your c4 pack or your grenade fall to the ground then bounce rather high and go even further if you have increased the velocity setting, if you decreased it then you may experience seeing your item go out normal distance then rubber band back closer to you! Another note about modding firearms is that if you swap your pistol into shooting M203 nades you wont be able to see the explosions on their impacts, the explosions are indeed happening and are deadly but there invisible, so if you shoot a hummer with your M203'd pistol you will see little pecks like normal bullets at first untill the vehicle explodes for the real damage you cant see, Artillary shells are networked so when you load your pistol with Arty shells (USART_LW155_Barrel_Projectile) then everyone WILL see the effects correctly, as well as the decimating effect of having a semi-auto Arty gun in your hand! | | Modding Spawners works great in BF2, as far as vehicular spawners, you can swap which vehicle spawns where, how many of them spawn there(as in when 1 leaves another pops in automatically), you can also adjust the min and max spawn delays! Added note to spawner modding: in stock BF2 you can only use vehicles used in the current level already on spawners, in dcon you may use any vehicle however.... | | You can also adjust the time you are allowed to be outside the combat area of the map to be 1 second then your dead, or to any amount of time you desire. | | You can enable an option to make all players respawn at the exact spot they died at to increase the intensity of battles as well as if you just wana play for points and not worry about having to get an outpost or to walk all the way back to where you were! | | You can adjust the Gravity of the map to enable jumping onto rooftops, moonwalking, or just adding a spring to your step, or if thats not enough you can turn it around(positive 1000) for a second then set it back to normal(negative 8) and fly like superman, you will actually be able to control your direction and speed like a skydiver, and your character will go head first with his arms out like wings, just like a real skydiver!! | Well thats all for now, im sure i have your minds swirling around in wonder! Happy Modding
