OK me and Kiff have put togeather a package to aid in serverside modding, and it can have different mods for each map, mapsize and game-mode, just add your tweaks to the corresponding file in the ssm-handler folder after you install!
 
when your server loads a map it will automatically load the preset file for that individual map, size, and playmode!
no modding the zips, editting original content, no worries of corrupting your dcon server install!!!!
 
the preset files currently have 2 options in them, a tweak for moon gravity and a tweak for the time your allowed outside the combat zone!

Known Issue #1
not really an issue so much as a bf2ism but easily workaround-able
 
this script loads the .ssm files based on the following variable string:
mapname + game-mode + maxplayers + .ssm
 
if you run a server on "zatar_wetlands" "conquest" "mapsize=32" but with maxplayers of any number there isnt an ssm file for it wont execute!
 
copy the .ssm file you wana use and rename the end to the number of players your max is set to!  then it will load that file!
 
there isnt a variable i can find to use the actual mapsize, so i used maxplayers!
 
so you plan to run:
Strike at karkand        gpm_CTF       32    but with X players instead of 32, copy the ssm file that should be loaded and rename the end to equal the X or maxplayers you set, and put it in with the other ssm files! all better!!!!!

Will you give us a global template eventually so we can deploy mods globally across all maps?
(Or is that already an option with this ssmhandler Wink)
